What is Foodie Tours and why is it the premier directory of culinary tours?

Foodie Tours is a directory of culinary tours from all around the world. We are premier because we list all of our tours on a tour-by-tour basis rather than on an operator basis. We recently expanded our offerings to include brewery tours and are going to add winery tours (those tours offered by the wineries themselves) and other specialty tours such as farm tours and creamery tours.  Visitors to our site can write a review of tours that they've been on, to give others unbiased insight into the tour.

Our site is pretty new, and we appreciate your support! And please come visit often to see our list of expanding tours and site features as well as read what's happening in our blog.

Yes, you can go to a restaurant or a farmers market and experience mouth-watering foods, wines, and beers. But foodie tours offer an important element, education.  When you go on a foodie tour you can learn about the processes, history, and elements of a cuisine that you simply can't get anywhere else. Tour operators are experts that can connect you with the culinary experience of a lifetime. And, by taking tours, you are supporting the farmers, artisans, and shop owners so their products can remain viable and on the market for years to come.

Who is the (wo)man behind the curtain?

You know that question, "If you could do anything in the world, and money is no object, what would you do?" Well folks, this is it. My three passions are education, food, and travel. Foodie Tours combines all three. It's so exciting to connect people all over the world with foodie tours, where they can learn about the foods and cultures of their destination. 

I am a licensed attorney by trade, and am in the process of finishing up my MBA. One of my legal passions is alcoholic beverage law. In school I wrote a paper on the laws affecting the direct shipment of wine and was privileged to attend the Granholm v. Heald hearing at the Supreme Court.

My father is a classically trained chef, and I've grown up surrounded by delicious food. Food is culture. Food is history. Food is love. I'm sorry, but I think that people who see food only as fuel should get a nice "love tap" to the head.
