Activity Information:

Activity Description:

What better way to explore the ethnic diversity of New York City than this exclusive History and Gastronomy lesson in this varied international culinary tour of Brooklyn. Take a trip back in time and around the world and see a part of New York City you probably didn't even know existed!

It's been said that "A trip to Brooklyn is like a trip around the world." How sweet and true it is.

It's truly amazing how many people visit New York City and never get to see Brooklyn.

In this 3.5 hour driving and walking tour of Brooklyn, some of the neighborhoods you'll visit include:

  • Old Williamsburg, home to many ethnic groups and a thriving art community where you'll be sampling delectable foods from an authentic 1960s era kosher Hasidic deli.
  • DUMBO, where you'll stop and get to sample scrumptious chocolate at the Jacques Torres chocolate factory, and visit Brooklyn Bridge Park for an excellent view of Manhattan's famous skyline.
  • Sunset Park, featuring a plethora of Latin American food establishments for a picnic in the park style lunch featuring the "Cuban" sandwich.

Unlike other tours, your journey with an experienced, knowledgeable native New Yorker will show you the most fascinating areas in New York City. Begin in the historic West Village, the past and present home to some of the City's most influential residents, and then venture across the Williamsburg Bridge to Brooklyn, where the main portion of your tour will take place.

Though we will drive to get from one neighborhood to the next, you'll have plenty of time to walk around and take pictures in each area where we stop.

This was one of our all time favorite shore excursions - Isaac picked us up at the Brooklyn cruise terminal, gave us a tour of Manhattan, then the 'regular' tour as described - it was absolutely fantastic, start to finish. We can't say enough good things about this tour and about Isaac. It was a fascinating and delicious tour, worth every penny.
