The Private Reserve Wine, Sun and Rock Cruise will visit some of the more remote islands of the Caribbean, while departing and returning to Ft. Lauderdale. This allows wine-loving, sun-seekers to dodge the normal, Caribbean crowds, while making the required air-flight easier and more affordable. Islands that the cruise will call upon include Aruba, Curacao, St. Lucia, Dominica, St. Croix, Puerto Rico and the Turks & Caicos. Come join the fun in the sun with Private Reserve!
To most wine-lovers, Private Reserve implies a wine of great pedigree. But to citizens of the Napa and Sonoma wine country, “Private Reserve” is also a local rock-and-roll band, made up of some of Napa and Sonoma’s top winemakers. On March 11th, 2009 the music-playing winemakers of “Private Reserve” will be taking their style of 60’s, 70’s and Motown classics to the high seas, on a 12-day Caribbean cruise on the Regent Seven Sea's Navigator. The band includes three well-known winemakers: Ed Sbragia, Emeritus wine-maker for Beringer, who also has his own label Sbragia Family Vineyards in Geyserville; Mike Martini, Master Winemaker of Louis Martini in St. Helena and for his own label M Squared; and George Bursick, Owner of Bursick Wine Consulting LLC. Sbragia sings, plays guitar and the accordion. Martini plays lead guitar, while Bursick plays drums.
