For the price, this was a lot of food. The local Puerto Rican food was extremely tasty, and the dessert sampler platter at the last restaurant was huge. We visited 4 restaurants and I would definitely go back to them another time. Also got to taste a variety of drinks, like sangria (white or red wine, or champagne), and a mango smoothie, with rum. It's worth doing the tour.

We had a superb few hours; visited 4 restaurants and enjoyed a variety of local cuisine examples with an interesting historical/cultural walk through old San Juan. We learned much about the typical Puerto Rican cuisine and its influences, stuffed plantains, tapas, mojitos & piña coladas were highlights; though the desserts at the end was sinfully indulging. The operator was knowledgeable of local customs & cuisine as well as the rich history of old San Juan. We started on time and kept on schedule. If you have one or two evnings in old San Juan and not enough time to explore the restaurant scene there, this is tour is a must! Overall, this is a very well organized tour well worth your time. We had a super time. Many thanks!

Excellent tour. The tour gave us an excellent overview of some restaurant that both tourist and the "locals" go to eat and drink. It started with a Pina Colada at the place it was invented, we had Sangaria & tapas in an old convent now a hotel, a stop at a local cafe for some authentic Puerto Rico food - this place was next to a Panama Hat store where they hand fit your hat, and ended with a delicious desert and cafe con leche (coffee with hot milk) at a cute restaurant on one of the upper streets. In between the restaurants or tour guide not only provided us the history but talked about the architecture, and knew details and stories about the city that only someone who lived there would be able to share. You could tell she really loves her city. She gave us a great "flavor" of both the city and the restaurants. It's definitely worth going on and I plan on going again the next time I'm here.
