Have a delicious gourmet experience with a Tuscan cooking lesson with dinner in our center in Florence or at your location.




Barbara Bartolotta and Valentina Lami, your chefs for this program, are expert Italian cooks and talian language teachers with extensive experience. They offer an introduction to preparing-and eating-traditional dishes along with the appropriate wines. Classes may be scheduled for any date with a two-day advance notice, and can be conducted in your native language. You may take one lesson or combine them to fashion a program to your interests. Lessons begin at 16:00. After assisting in the preparation of dishes, you sit at a table and at 18:30/19:00 you have dinner, enjoying your creations with the correct wines.
The location for our private cooking lessons is in Piazza d'Azeglio 20, Firenze in an ancient and historical downtown building, a few meters from S. Croce Cathedral and the Ancient Food Market of S. Ambrogio.
We are also able to plan a private class with dinner at your location.

TUSCAN HORS D'OEUVRES

  • The traditional Tuscan "crostini" sauce
  • Seasonable vegetables egg cake
  • Bruschette with tomatoes and seasonable vegetables
  • Rosé wine Albiola Casale del Giglio Lazio

 

A TUSCAN DINNER FOR FRIENDS
  • Pappa al pomodoro
  • Tagliata di pollo all’aceto balsamico (chicken with balsamic vinegar)
  • Seasonable vegetable side dish
  • Panna cotta with sauce
  • Red wine Chianti Selvapiana, Rufina

 

HAND-MADE PASTA
  • Pasta fatta in casa: preparation of different kinds of pasta, cutting by hand and machine (spaghetti, taglierini, fettuccine, tagliatelle, etc.)
  • Three typical Tuscan sauces: carrettiera, mushroom sauce *, and pesto
  • Red wine Chianti collifiorentini Lanciola Impruneta

 

A MORE COMPLEX MENU
  • Mezzelune con ricotta e spinaci
  • Pollo alla cacciatora (chicken hunter's style)
  • Mousse al cioccolato
